Our Amazing members

Jess Wilson, Lorian Kurzweil and Scarlett Mann have some experiences to share with us.

We really love to hear about our members and how they are “performing” in other areas outside the of their activities with The Company. Sadly too many forget to share their successes with us, but when they do we just love to boast about it!

Our Publicity Officer, Jessica Wilson has been a Senior dancing member of the Chelmsford Ballet Company since 2007. She studied Dance Performance at Middlesex University from 2009 to 2012 graduating with a First Class Honours degree.

Since graduation she has combined her love of writing with her passion for dance. She writes for many online and print dance publications and has recently interviewed fellow dancing member Lorian Kurzweil for the 4dancers blog. Lorian last danced with us in Coppelia (and as the Queen of Hearts in Let’s Make a Ballet) in 2013.

Meanwhile, another member, Scarlett Mann, (whose Grandmother is one of Joan Weston’s original dancers from 1949) has been successful in getting through to the final heats of the RAD Margaret Brockway Scholarship. Scarlett has written about the wonderful experience that this has given her. Click here to read about Scarlett’s trip to Birmingham. We look forward to hearing how she gets on on the 29th June.
