What a Fantastic Day – 8th September 2012

Chris Marney with Annette Potter and some of our talented dancers

Just to say a huge thank you to everyone for a hugely successful day. The Artistic Director, Annette Potter, speaks for the whole company when she says that the work and time put into the Civic Theatre’s 50th Anniversary celebrations were very much appreciated; we made an excellent impression and raised the profile of the Company immensely.

Annette was rather excited about the whole day and says that she is extremely proud to be Artistic Director of such a professional, enthusiastic, and hard-working Company.

The Wardrobe Mistress, Ann Starling, thanks all of the dancers, who she says were brilliant and arrived with hair and make-up looking just how she had asked (special circumstances!!); costumes all ironed and shoes and tights clean and pink! Ann says that the performances were so lovely and, as always, she enjoyed watching from the wings.

The Membership Secretary, Debbie Snell, reported a very busy day, with lots of interest and many leaflets distributed.

There were interviews on Leisure FM and many photographs were taken.

Well done to all those who contributed.

I wish that I had been there to see it. The photos on the site look absolutely fantastic too.

It certainly was a fantastic day, we made an impression on Michael Gray as we were mentioned on his Arts blog http://michaelgray.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/civic-theatre-50th-birthday.html
