Welcome to our new members

Last Sunday was a very exciting day. Auditions for dancing members brought us a bumper crop this year. Competition for the chance to dance with us was fierce and there was certainly a lot of talent on display. It was evident that, even amongst those who unfortunately didn’t make the grade this year, there was a lot of potential. So if you weren’t lucky this time please try again next year.

We hope that all of the successful candidates will take up membership; we look forward to working with them in the coming year. Just one more company class before we take a short break over the Summer and then we are back with a vengeance!

Company Classes will be taken by Judith Harris

(Full details about classes can be found HERE)

Judith is from Essex and trained locally with several teachers, notably Aileen Graham at The Graham School of Dance, Bishops Stortford.

Judith also attended associate classes at The West Street School from the age of 14 and then continued as a member of London Senior Ballet. Also dancing with the The National Youth Ballet of Great Britain from the age of 11

At age 15 she accepted a place at the Royal Ballet Upper School where she trained for 3 years completing her Dancers and Teacher Training Diploma, gaining several prestigious prizes. She also had the amazing opportunity to dance small roles with The Royal Ballet Company.

On Graduation Judith joined the teaching staff of The National Youth Ballet and is now Ballet Mistress and Repetiteur for the company as well as choreographer.

Judith has taught extensively across England and is Head of Ballet at the Graham School of Dance, Bishops Stortford. She currently has ex-students working in many companies and productions, and training at The Royal Ballet Lower and Upper Schools, Elmhurst School and at many of the musical theatre colleges in the UK.

There will be a brief meeting between classes on the 5th July when we will say hello to our new members, briefly introduce ourselves and give a short outline of what they can expect.
