Every cloud has a silver lining

Good news or bad news?

Bad news is that Annette Potter won’t be able to come to committee  🙁

Good news is that she will be taking Company Classes 🙂  (this Sunday 1st June)

Due to un-forseen circumstances our Artistic Director is stepping into the breach and will be taking classes.

Of course, she needs no introduction to members, but non-members are in for a treat. An ideal opportunity for those who are wanting to audition for membership in June to meet the Artistic Director as well as their potential peers and get a true flavour of the Company ethos.

She says that she is really looking forward to seeing members and non-members alike.

The early class from 09.30 – 10.45 is for dancers age 10 and above. This class will include work to suit those working at grades 2 – 5 or an equivalent level.

The later class from 11.00 – 12.30 is for dancers aged 13 and above. This class will include work to suit those working at or above grade 6 or equivalent level and may include pointe work.

Cost is £5.50 for members, £6.50 for guests.

(We might even have to restrain Marion from sneaking into Senior class)

As Artistic Director of the Company I can honestly say I had the most wonderful day Sunday. It was so lovely to see so many dancers, I jumped in a short notice to take class & enjoyed every moment, everyone was a pleasure to teach. Great to see lots of Company members alongside other dancers that are auditioning later this month too.

I must also comment on how proud we are of our senior dancers that even thought they are at full time training, they find time to come to class, when they can, it is so lovely to see how they are progressing.

Marion & I rounded off the day with a very exciting lunch with Chris Marney, discussing plans for our 2015 show.  This is such a wonderful opportunity for our dancers & I really can’t wait to get started!

Please make sure you let us know if you are going to attend next months class, it is one NOT to be missed!
